Hotel

Interior

Night

Double bed

Balcony

Table

Television

Off

Music

On

Lights

Dim

Conversation

Not

She

Coy:

“If you could change anything

What would it be?”

He

Stands

Arms

Spread

Measures

Table

Smiles

“About this much space”

Pause

Long

Silence

Thick

Then:

“I would kiss you

With the poetry I cannot write

Until all the words

Were gone.”
